Pet Name: Draco, Little Dragon (By his Mother only)
Appearance: 6' 2" with red hair and green eyes. His eyes it is said come from his grandmother, Demeter, though the red hair is somewhat of a mystery. He often wears black togas and even though he has red feathered wings he does not use them, unless he is with his siblings. Personality: Draconis is like his name. He is as fierce as a dragon when he is threatened or his family is. Draco is most protective of his sister Chrysanthe. His temper is as explosive as his father's at times.
Background: Draco is the first born son of Hades and Persephone and as such is the heir to the throne. He is much like his father and they butted heads as he grew older. Though they both respect one another and protect the family as needed. Hades groomed him from the time that he was ten to become the heir something that Draco though he does not openly want proved to be well suited for.
The family spent time in a time bubble where the young gods learned about their powers and their close knit family unit was even more evident when they emerged. Draco is very much a product of his family line. The grandson/nephew of Zeus and grandson/nephew of Demeter, he enjoys the respect he gets from his relations with them as well as the fear and power he gets from being the Son of Hades and Persephone, though since his arrival in the normal realm and time flow, she has come into his own.
They spent 100 years in that bubble, but to the outside world, only hours had passed. During this time Draconis learned to control the fire of the volcanoes that his temper is so like. During his time there he and his brother Themistocles (Mist) grew close enjoying the games that they played with their sisters. Over the years in the bubble Draco became more and more protective of Chrysanthe.
Once he was out of the bubble he made his way to a volcanic mountain and created his castle/temple outside of Scupi. His temple is extremely hot there are lava falls (water falls of lava) through out the temple. The temple itself is made of the volcanic rocks Gabbros, Obsidian, and Snowflake Obsidian. The rock in the entry way is Obsidian, that appears glass like. In the center is a lava lake which a large river of lava falls into. His personal chamber is made from Snowflake Obsidian which has a high shine to sooth his mind. Draco protects his favorite city Scupi from his Volcanoes as well as from everything else that he can. He also basically rules the city and what he says goes. Draco has an innate ability with sculpting and building. He has created many sculptures of his family especially that of his sister Chrysanthe. His sculptures have been placed throughout his temple and many others. He has also been hard at work with building a temple for the four siblings to share. Which, will, be hidden somewhere out, of sight of the other gods.
Like his siblings he has his own private army, called Fire Knights. Dressed in the best armor gold could buy they protect his temple and favored City. Death becomes any who cross them. They help police his City and when there is need will join with the armies of his siblings and fight with them. A platoon of them resides at the hidden joint temple along with platoons from the other quads temples.
Draco has a staff made of polished obsidian with a demantoid garnet on the top. This staff is very powerful, A gift from his mother upon their return from the bubble. He uses it to help focus his powers and if a mortal looks into or touches the gem they are instantly ignited into a pillar of eternal fire Draco's followers are both male and female and he is very egalitarian about their duties. His followers are loyal and will take offence to any slight against their God. Draconis' Priests and Priestesses call him "Fiery One" and there are a number of rituals within his 'following' which are not open to outsiders. There are 5 ranks among those who serve in his temple.
5. Apprentices: The lowest of all. These are aged from 6-14. And are mainly servants to the upper ranks. They do not live at the temple but travel daily to it, via special means in the City. Sexes are segregated. They wear Pale yellow robes. (Currently they number 15). Not all make it to the next level. They often find apprenticeships in the Cities of the island
4. From Ages 15 to 18, they are kept at the temple. From this age, they are placed in one dorm, both male and female and are forbidden clothing while not working. They are called Novices. They wear Red Robes. (Number 10) Virginity is lost around this time. No one can be a priest/Priestess in Draconis' temples and be a virgin. From this number, 3 are selected to be trained in torture.
3. Priests and Priestesses. From ages 18 and up. They live at the temple, they have their own rooms. (10) They wear Light Blue Robes. They wander through Greece at their God's bidding, selecting slaves for their God.
2. High Priests/Priestesses (4). They wear a Silver robe. They chose the novices. And often initiate the junior priests and priestesses into the priesthood. Initiation Rite is classified.
1. A father Superior and Mother Superior. One of each. Mother Superior: Zeta Father Superior: Myron. They attend to Draconis' every need. Zeta has three children which are well hidden. Rumors abound over what they look like and why they are kept away. They wear golden robes
Draco has small temples in Serdica, Thasos and Karpathos with permission from his siblings.
Powers: Draco's powers are tied to fire and Volcanoes. He can create them, destroy them, use fire to burn down places. He is very powerful and as heir to the underworld he spends half his time there with his father, learning his role as well as half his time in his own temple. His staff is part of his powers.
