Clio,
Goddess of Prostitution and LasciviousnessName: Clio.
Parentage:
Father - Hephaestus, God of the Forge & Fire, Gods' Blacksmith
Mother - Cassandra, Goddess of Violence and DebaucheryGender: Female
Appearance: Clio has long blond hair which she leaves however it falls. She stands around 6'1" and weighs around 138 lbs. Her body is very curvy with large breasts and like her mother & twin sister, she prefers to walk around naked. She has found that her priestesses and followers find it more comfortable, since they spend a large proportion of their lives without clothing.
When she does wearing of any kind, Clio normally chooses clothing that is either very revealing of her figure, barely there or easy to rip away if needed. Grandfather Zeus has chided her for turning up to council meetings in clothing that stretches the rules to the brink, and she lost her godhood once for three after turning up totally nude save for three feathers.
After examining her mother's piercings, Clio had her own nipples, navel and other areas pierced with the same sort of rings as the followers of her mother.
As her mother was a water nymph, Clio shares that heritage as well, and can swim expertly underwater.
Clio has an invisible choker necklace around her neck, that allows her father and sister control her. She asked them for this, and did it off her own free will as she has found great pleasure in her enforced slavery, knowing that she is helpless to do anything about it.
Favorite Cities: Clio has temples in the poorer areas of Athens, Thessalonica and Petra. Her major temple is in Athens though. In addition, she shares a joint temple with her twin sister, Poissa, in the city of Corinth.
Background: Clio was born to Cassandra and Hephaestus after a particularly passionate lovemaking session. As a baby, she was very quiet compared to her wild & mischievous twin sister, Poissa. She would spend hours playing quietly with colored balls, bunny rabbits, animated dolls and various other items that her father delighted in making for her. Despite Cassandra's influences and Hephaetus's over-protectiveness, Clio is not spoilt however. In one particular incident, her father told Morpheus and Zeus to be quiet so they would not wake her up.
Both Poissa and Clio are very close, and care a lot for one another.
In the short time between her birth and the destruction of her mother's temples, Clio noticed that her mother's followers were quite different to other mortals.
In the confusion following the destruction of her mother's temples, Clio went out alone into Greece to explore. Arriving in the city of Athens in an invisible, Clio made her way through the large city, amazed at all the mortals and their lives.
At one point, she became tired and crawled into a rough-looking building after following some women. Inside the house of ill-repute, she found that the women were like her mother's followers, but that they were there for far different reasons. Making herself visible, she was quickly discovered by the unfortunate prostitutes inside and also amazed that they were quite different to how she expected. While the women looked after her and made sure she was fed, Clio listened to some of the stories that the women told her of their lives. She was very touched by their caring and became determined in her heart to make their lives and the lives of women like them much better.
When her father arranged with her grandfather for a holiday, Clio went along with her family. In the temporal bubble that Grandfather made, Clio and Poissa spent the days around the small farm and visiting the small village nearby inside the bubble. The twin's friendship and love for each other progressed quickly into more intimate areas as they grew up, and continued outside the bubble.
During the time inside the bubble, Clio felt herself attracted to her brother, Sofronio. One afternoon when she and Poissa were feeling quite naughty, they jumped Sofronio when he was at the duck pond. Things eventually led to lovemaking, and after Poissa went off, Clio
confessed that she loved him. Finding that they both shared an attraction together, they decided to be with each other and become married shortly after inside the bubble, deciding to have another ceremony outside as well to make it all official.
It quickly became obvious to her mother that while Clio had been a good little baby, she was quickly growing into a wild-child like her sister, who was quite a bad influence. Clio spent many happy hours kissing and fooling around with the young boys of the village, who enjoyed spending time with the beautiful goddess.
When she was 'old' enough, she progressed to more pleasurable & sensual activities. Befriending the girls of the village, she found out about some of the more economical aspects of her ethos as well.
During the time in the bubble, Clio practiced with the boys until she thought she was good enough.. When her mother wasn't around, she crept into the barn where her father was working. She tried her best to seduce him, but he didn't give in to her charms. All he promised
was to talk to her mother. When Hephaetus did and also confessed that he found Poissa quite beautiful, Cassandra was quite amused and convinced him that he should be lucky that he now had four goddesses after him. Later the next day, he lay with Clio and she became pregnant afterwards. Poissa followed shortly after.
By the time that they left the bubble and the village was returned, Clio had given birth to a bouncing little girl, which she named Arrianette.
Inside the bubble, Clio pledged herself in marriage to her brother, Sofronio.
Clio headed to Athens, where she entered the house of ill-repute she had earlier visited. Informing them of who she was and that she had been the baby they cared for, she asked them to come with her and build a temple, where she could provide aid, care and a safe place to rest without worry for their safety. One of the most important rules is that everyone is equal in her following, and has equal say. It is also generally known that should you visit a temple of Clio, however, you will not have to worry about finding unwanted children later though, as she protects her followers & visitors from the added complication unless both parties request her not to beforehand.
She only just had to ask, and her father helped her make some beuatiful temples. Around each of them are a series of tall muscular-looking bronze statues of soldiers. These form the main defenses, and will come alive if the temples are threatened.
One time when she popped in for a visit to the Underworld so she could spend time with her brother and fiancee, Sofronio, she went to Hades's throne room. She talked with Hades, since Sof wasn't around, and during it, Hades put a ring on her that made her into his slave.
Shortly after, Hades gave a choker necklace to Sofronio to put on Clio's neck, and she willing let him, knowing it would make her into Sof's slave too. She is very happy about it.
When Hera and Zeus decided to have a little fight, Clio approached Zeus in an attempt to help, but all it got her was a pregnant belly after Zeus took her.
Clio got in a lot of trouble when she turned up to watch at a council meeting on Mount Olympus wearing only three white feathers that barely covered her intimate feminine parts. She was banished down to Greece as a mortal for a period of three days, but ended up enjoying it immensely.
Clio was a bit disappointed when Uncle Hades released and gave up all his toys, which then reverted to being owned by her 'daddy', Hephaestus, who could be trusted with them.
Later on, Clio went to her 'daddy' and was happy when he accepted to put one of the choker necklaces on her, and allow Poissa to put a ring on her (once Poissa had a choker on too).
Recently, Clio has dumped her brother and is single once again, happy to do what she loves without worry.
Personality: Clio has a gentle personality normally, but has inherited her mother's temper and tongue to her father's disappointment.
Clio in the throes of passion
Due to influences from the temples of her mother and the other gods, Clio has a love of sex and actively flaunts herself, giving her body away for services and items. This was one of the reasons that Zeus chose prostitution for her.
One of the reasons that she became the goddess of prostitution was that she has a very mercenary attitude to life, forcing others to barter or trade for items, sensations and experiences. Even her mother, father, grandfather and twin must do so.
Anyone who enters the temples of Clio for goods or services must pay before leaving or face her wrath. In addition, Clio's followers follow a strict code and refuse services to those who are on her black list or associated with those on her list.
One of Clio's favourite activities involves being tied up & abused during lovemaking. She doesn't really know why it makes her feel more sensual or why she enjoys a bit of pain as well. Either way, she knows that Sof, her sister or mother will help indulge her at any time. If they don't, there is always numerous other gods who would jump at the chance to use her sexually and give her all the torment she craves.
Powers: Clio has shares her mother's ability to change the perceptions of mortals and gods (except for a short list when they don't wish it). As like her mother, Clio hasn't found any limits on this as of yet, whether violence, anger, lust, happiness, depression or any other emotion, along with more intense feelings. She prefers to make things more beautiful however.
From her father, she picked up the ability to bring life to inanimate objects. Around her temples, visitors are surprised when statues come to life and start interacting with them, acting as guides around the grounds.
Clio's unique powers lie in the area of physical endowment and sexuality. She can help both immortals and mortals becoming more endowed for limited periods of time, and can grant the
ability to gods & mortals of longer endurance during lovemaking.
Hobbies & Interests: Clio enjoyed helping her 'daddy' and has picked up an interest in blacksmithing. She uses these skills to improve the lives of her followers and also to make sexual toys for herself and her followers to help their work.
Sacred Animals: Clio's sacred animals are the swan, representing beautiful creatures, and the dove, representing the innocence that was lost by her followers. She also likes baby chicken and ducks. In her temples, she has small petting zoos, which are visited by local children and that she frequently be found in..
Special Notes: Clio is trying to cling onto her childhood a bit. Clio knows that her father enjoys treating her like a little girl, and lets him do it at times. She especially enjoys when she gets to snuggle upto him for a cuddle, despite how her twin teases her. Sometimes, she also still enjoys suckling at her mother's breast as well.
Ever since she was a young goddess, Clio indulged the mortal habit of sleeping, even though she does not need to. If she is asked why, she says it makes her feel
closer to her followers, but in her heart, she knows she is trying to cling to something that seperates her from what she sees is her petty relatives who abuse their positions of power & trust. While she does not sleep for as long as mortals, she does keep it up as a regular activity. A number of times though, she has awoken to find herself tied up in a vulnerable position by her twin, just before being abused.
Once a month for a day, her temples, including the shared one, are closed to all non-followers. Various rituals and ceremonies are held between Clio and her priests & priestesses. Most of these are intensely sexual & intimate. In the shared temple, Poissa and her followers also participate, as Poissa finds it quite fun & kinky. Normally, most if not all of the mortal females involved become pregnant.
